Horribly 3D Halloween Screensaver – Decorate Your PC This Halloween
Review by on
Two weeks from now it will be Halloween, so I think it’s high time you start preparing. You need to get the Halloween decorations out of storage, go out and buy some tasty treats for all the trick-or-treaters who will be knocking at your door, and find a ghoulish costume for yourself. Don’t forget to decorate your PC as well – and I’m not talking about putting some decorations on top of it.

I am talking about getting a piece of software that will get your computer in the Halloween spirit; an application like the Robert Bennett-developed Horribly 3D Halloween Screensaver.

The screensaver tells the story of some kids who made the unwise decision of taking a shortcut through the Spookville Cemetery when returning home from trick-or-treating. These must be some brave kids if they decided to go though a freaking cemetery on freaking Halloween night – but I digress. The ghosts in the cemetery want some candy, so they go steal some from the kids. When the kids see the ghosts they get scared and start running away.

The screensaver plays some ghoulish music in the background and displays a countdown to Halloween.

Before you go get Horribly 3D Halloween Screensaver and put it to the test, take a look at the following details:
Download – the download weighs in at 2.4MB, which means it should take very little time for the download to complete.
Installation – just launch the executable you downloaded, click "I Accept" and you will be done in no time at all. Horribly 3D Halloween Screensaver should work fine on just about any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system (there’s a Mac OS X version as well).
Limitations – you can use Horribly 3D Halloween Screensaver free of charge for a trial period of 14 days. The trial version displays a registration reminder.

Pros
  • Lightweight download
  • Plays music in the background
  • Halloween countdown
  • The children wear all sorts of costumes
  • There’s a Windows and a Mac OS X version

Cons
  • Free to try (14-day trial)
  • Not the greatest graphics
